Dr Amanda was wonderful. The entire experience was amazing. My daughter, who was only 6 years old, was there to witness the passing of our beloved golden lab. Dr Amanda took the time explaining the steps and used simple terminology so that my daughter can kind of understand what will happen to our dog. There were so much tears, but Dr Amanda was very professional and calm. She made sure we had enough time to say our goodbyes to our 16 years old dog and she never rushed us. After our dog passed at her favorite spot in the yard, she brought blankets and pillow in for our dog to carry to her car. She even had the song “Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwoole playing in her car. I can’t think of a better way to send our dog over the rainbow bridge. The team continue to check in with us after the day our dog passed to make sure we are okay. We definitely recommend Arms of Aloha.

My pup Pā’ele declined rather quickly so I frantically began my research for pet euthanasia options. I ultimately decided to use Arms of Aloha and I have to say, it was absolutely the right choice. I could not have pictured my dog’s final moments going any better. There was so much compassion and grace throughout the entire process. Booking the appointment was so easy and helped take my mind off of what was to come. The confirmation calls and emails were not solely about business, it was clear that there were people passionate about animals behind the communications. Dr. Amanda was great, she was so considerate of my dog and my family. Everything felt as peaceful as it could have. Dr. Amanda explained the process, made sure Pā’ele was ok and that my family got all the time we needed. She even provided us tissues! Even the way Pā’ele was prepared for transport was beautiful. He looked so comfortable and at peace. It’s clear that every single detail has been looked over, refined and designed to make it all as painless as possible. A few days later, I received a call from the Arms of Aloha Chaplain and some reminders that Arms of Aloha is not just for pet euthanasia but also a resource for those who are struggling with losing their pet. I’m so glad that I chose to utilize Arms of Aloha and should I need this type of service again I will not hesitate to call them.

I can’t imagine a better service for an extremely difficult time. The care that Dr. Amanda took with not only our dog but our whole family was remarkable. She walked us through the process, did not rush anything, was on our time and checked with us before each step. After we put our beloved 15 year old Frenchie down, Dr. Amanda took great care in taking her remains to the crematorium. She made us feel as comfortable a we could have, given the circumstance. You can tell that the people at Arms of Aloha are true pet lovers and are dedicated to helping to end suffering. Thank you 🙏
